[vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]The 1st annual Heart of America Belly Dance Festival, June 27 & 28, 2015, featured Luna of Cairo. She wrote a lovely testimonial about our festival that we are proud to share.
They say home is where the heart is. And right now my heart is in Kansas City at the Heart Of America Belly Dance festival. I have plenty to say and many to thank, but first I have to admit that I’m overwhelmed with emotion. I’m filled with gratitude, admiration, respect, and LOVE for the organizers of this beautiful event. So much so that it brought tears to my eyes, and to the eyes of many others who participated in whatever capacity. I’m so proud of you for creating this festival…for making your first event so huge and flawless, yet so intimate and thoughtful…… Read Luna’s full testimonial here.

This festival is worth every penny. Not only will you get great instruction with beautiful and knowledgeable dancers, but you will get a full weekend’s worth of entertainment via dance, food, and new friendships. The competition was exciting and fun to do too, and everyone is super supportive (and *everyone* was nervous so don’t be scared lol).
Everything was wonderful! The instruction was top notch, I really learned a lot and enjoyed getting to know Luna and everyone and literally everyone involved with the event were amazingly sweet and approachable- willing to help with anything you needed. I’m not sure if I could possibly pick a favorite part but the gala dinner/show was definitely one of he highlights for me. It was just so fun and there was so much talent there. What a wonderful weekend- I can’t wait to come again! ~Nadirah
One of the best-manged workshops that I’ve ever attended, thinking of various details to make it a very enjoyable experience — from the thoughtful, useful items in the swag bag, to onsite meals, to a very convenient and efficient workshop space. The “red carpet” photos were a nice touch, too. The workshops were on time and very well taught. ~Amy
Both the participants and host and hostesses were extremely wonderful. Even under all of the stress, all the work that was put into the event really did make it the most fabulous belly dance related festival I’ve ever attended.
You can’t miss this event, it’s the best belly dance festival I’ve ever gone to and I’ve been to so many, that I can’t even tell you how many! This is NOT TO BE MISSED! COME, COME, COME AND EXPERIENCE THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME DANCE EXTRAVAGANZA OR YOU’LL BE SORRY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! ~Lana

My favorite part was the gala dinner show, the food was delicious and is was nice to dress up. Recommending to a friend, I would suggest she go, even for just one workshop, she would enjoy and learn a great deal from it, and she would have to attend the gala dinner show and competition show. ~Amanda
Everything at this event was Top Notch! Theresa and the rest of the team were wonderful. It was so well organized, they thought of everything. The Teah Ballroom was a gorgeous venue. Most of all I enjoyed reconnecting with old bellydance friends and making new ones. I can’t wait till next year! ~ Dayna
