2019 Second Place Rising Star
COLORADO (USA) Sonia signed up for her first belly dance class in high school, knowing next to nothing about the movements or history of the dance, and quickly fell in love with both. She has continued her belly dance journey and has expanded into other cultural dance forms, especially flamenco. Sonia seeks to create a style that balances strength with femininity and is rooted in tradition with a strong sense of individuality.
